EcoFont - Save 20% Toner
Check out the ecofont! Ecofont claims to you will use 20% less toner / ink over other fonts. I haven't tested the claimed savings, but you can see the holes in the stroke of the font. I'm sure this would work great for internal documents, if nothing else. When you print the font, the characters have a hollow look. In the toner business we would call hollow looking characters dropouts.
HP has offered an economode with their laserjet printers for years, but you have to remember to turn it on and off at the driver level. I don't think I've ever known anyone to use it.
Here's a preview of what the font looks like. The smaller faces just look light, but you really have a hard time seeing the holes.

Aside from Ecofont - century gothic and arial are other fonts that can save you printer in/toner
